ETHEREUM : The Story of Meera’s Smart Village

Meera lived in a small village where everyone often argued about agreements—like who owed money, who rented a house, or who borrowed a cow. These arguments wasted a lot of time.

One day, Meera had an idea. She created a big board in the village square and called it the Smart Board. On this board, villagers could write agreements that worked automatically. For example:

If someone borrowed a cow, the board would make sure the cow’s owner got milk until it was returned.
If someone rented a house, the board would unlock the house only when the rent was paid.
The board followed the rules exactly as written, and once an agreement was written, no one could change it. Everyone trusted the board because it was fair and couldn’t take sides.

This board made life easier for everyone. People used it not just for money but also for promises, trades, and deals.

    Meera called her system Ethereum.

Ethereum is like a global smart board on the internet. It’s not just about money, like Bitcoin—it’s about creating smart agreements (called smart contracts) that work automatically without needing anyone to enforce them.
