The School of Computer and System Sciences (SC&SS) at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, successfully organized the Atal AICTE-Sponsored Two-Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Advanced Cyber Security: Research, Theoretical, and Practical Approaches” from February 3 to February 15, 2025. The program, sponsored by Atal AICTE, New Delhi, aimed to enhance the cyber security expertise of faculty members, research scholars, and students, equipping them with advanced knowledge and practical skills to tackle contemporary cyber threats.
Program Highlights:
The FDP brought together 52 participants from institutions across India, fostering a collaborative learning environment through:Expert-led sessions by renowned academicians, industry leaders, and government officials.
Hands-on training on cutting-edge cyber security tools and techniques.
Industrial visits to IFSFO Delhi Police, Dwarka, and Third Eye Private Limited, Okhla, providing real-world insights into cybercrime investigation and threat mitigation.
Interactive discussions, project presentations, and reflection journals to encourage innovation and critical thinking.
Distinguished Speakers and Guests:
The program was inaugurated by Prof. R.K. Sharma (IIT Delhi), Dr. Pawan Bhardwaj (NCRB), and Dr. Prashant Kharat (AICTE). The valedictory ceremony was graced by B.S. Jaiswal (CISO, New Delhi) and Dr. Madhukar Maruti Vavare (Joint Secretary, UGC), who emphasized the importance of continuous learning and industry-academia collaboration in cyber security.Key Outcomes
